I’ve been seeing a lot of concern about bot activity at our Zazzle stores, both in the community discussions and on other POD websites. It’s clearly something many creators are worried about. I spent some time researching the topic and ended up learning more than I expected. The biggest takeaway was that there’s a lot of mixed information out there, and not all of it lines up with how these systems actually work. I’m not a bot expert, just sharing what I’ve read and my own opinions. Bots do crawl Zazzle, the same way they crawl every large e‑commerce site. They hit product pages, images, and categories, and sometimes that shows up as views or linkovers that don’t lead to sales. That part is normal and expected. I couldn’t find any article saying bots “change referral IDs,” because that isn’t something bots are capable of doing. Bots crawl pages, but they don’t behave like real shoppers and they don’t interact with referral cookies. Cloudflare explains how bots work, and Google Analytics explains how attribution works, and neither one includes anything about bots overwriting referral codes. I also want to mention that Facebook sends a lot of traffic. A lot of those FB views come from people scrolling, tapping, and checking things out without commenting or buying right away. So some of the high view counts we see aren’t bots at all they’re just normal Facebook behavior. We may think a spike in traffic is bots, but it could very well be coming from our Facebook shares. A lot of the “strange” traffic we see is just regular shopper behavior. People browse on their phones, save things for later, click through a link and then wander around the site, or come back without the cookie. Pinterest can send a lot of clicks that don’t convert until much later. All of that shows up as views with no sales, but it’s human behavior, not bots manipulating anything. If anyone wants to read more about how bot traffic works in general, here’s what I read: Cloudflare’s explanation of normal bot activity and why it shows up in analytics: https://www.cloudflare.com/learning/bots/what-is-robots-txt/ And Cloudflare’s overview of bot traffic in general: https://www.cloudflare.com/learning/bots/what-is-bot-traffic/ by Susan's Nature & Seasonal Studio

Someone has messaged me on Zazzle (I'm a designer). But I'm stuck in a loop with the new SMS verification. I enter my mobile number, I'm in the UK, I get the text code but when I enter it, it takes me back to requesting a code again. I'm stuck in this loop and can't get to my inbox to respond to my messages. I can't bypass the verification popup. Anyone else getting this?

Hi, I just saw an email from USPS that Zazzle has sent my two tax documents to my old address in the United States despite the fact that I changed my address on file to the current one where I live in Italy. I sent an email to customer support (support@zazzle.com), but I want to be sure that someone sees this. I would like an electronic copy of my 1099s sent to me immediately please and then a paper copy sent to the proper address on file in my account. @James @Scott can you please alert someone at customer support that my tax documents were sent to the United States instead of Italy? I need to get my taxes done, and as it is, they will be a bit of a hassle this year with my international move with 3 children. I can privately provide you with my address in Italy if necessary. Regards, Dawn Ciano

just a in case you use Google’s Gemini for mockups or image design there has been a silent update on daily free quantity A lot of us have noticed that the old “3 free images a day” guideline seems to be gone. I hit my limit after one image tonight and got the upgrade prompt, and several others are reporting the same thing. Google hasn’t made a clear announcement, but their updated wording now says limits “may change frequently,” which explains why some days you get a few images and other days you’re cut off immediately. For anyone who relies on AI for mockups, listing images, or other creative tasks, the recent Gemini change might catch you off guard. Just wanted to share so no one thinks their account is glitching or that they did something wrong it’s the new system. If you depend on AI tools in your workflow, you may want to keep an eye on your daily usage or have a backup ready.

I'm checking my google analytics associated to my Zazzle store and I see there are suddenly no views stats from some day ago. Really uncommon and understandable, because I still have views on my Zazzle store, during last days too. Anyone is getting the same?

Hi, I am a dual US-Italian citizen, and I moved abroad to Italy in July 2025. I no longer have a mailing address in the United States. I am wondering how do I get my 1099 this year? Is there any way to receive it electronically? @James can you or another moderator please help me?

Considering overall high end designs of my Zazzle store, is this situation something common? See screenshot attached. My royalty rate is not set much high.

I have reported them, but I would like to publicly call out this person -- you will probably recognize this design and they have decided to sell it also. It is not copyrighted so perhaps legally they can, but I hope this is not something that Zazzle will allow them to do since it is a straight copy of the design.

Tonight I was looking over my store and debating whether I should pull Valentine’s Day and replace it with St. Patrick’s Day, spring décor, and Easter. For a minute I thought, “Maybe it’s time to switch everything over.” But then I went through my earnings history and realized I was still getting Valentine’s Day sales well into the first week of February especially cards and digital downloads. That was my reminder not to pull Valentine’s Day too early. So instead of removing it, I kept Valentine’s featured and added Spring and Easter alongside it. It feels like a good balance right now, especially since shoppers are in all different stages some finishing Valentine’s, some already decorating for spring, and some planning Easter or baby/bridal showers. I also refreshed my about and store banner tonight. I pulled the Valentine’s Day header and replaced it with a new “Spring Arrivals Nature Inspired Designs” banner on my main store. Keeping the banner seasonal really helps the whole store feel fresh and active, and it signals to shoppers that new designs are coming in. I’m curious how the rest of you handle this. Do you arrange your store according to the seasons and holidays, and have you noticed a difference in your sales/traffic when you do? And do you update your banner for seasons / holidays so your storefront looks fresh and new for shoppers? *** I just started updating all of my stores for the Spring season, including my media and storefront visuals. With all the snow we’ve had this week, it actually feels good to feature the spring products at my Zazzle store a little reminder that warmer days are coming, hopefully soon! my store if you want to see what I have done so far

I wanted to share that I'm very disappointed that Zazzle moved to a chat-only system. Sometimes a real conversation with a real person is the only way to resolve something quickly and clearly. I hope you will consider bringing back phone support.
