Very nice.. but honestly I'd separate them as products. The backpack designs don't appear to transfer even marginally well to anything but the cross body bag. Patterns appear to be huge on the duffles and pouches. It looks like the section that transfers is the front pocket of the backpack and it is sized up to fit the other configurations. If I were choosing I'd probably show the backpack and cross body as a single product and the others - duffels and pouches as a separate, if related product.. Sure I could go in and use the settings to create them as separate - this size, shape only etc. but this often is either too restrictive or not restrictive enough.. easier to just separate them in the first place, into products that actually do play well with one another. It's fine to do it that way when it's simple and limited say square vs round, like with buttons, but these products are diverse and pretty drastically different in construction from one another.

@PenguinPower I agree to everything you said. There's no one design fits all in these bags so seems silly to batch them all together. Will still have to create one at a time and set them for this style only to make sure all the layers match

I agree with the large number of batched items being problematic. I really wanted to offer my designs in just the two accessory pouches, but there is no way to do this without offering all of the other items as well (and then they have huge white gaps all over). I presume a customer wouldn't purchase these other items, but it would be nice to be able to curtail my offerings so they don't bother flipping through the others only to see what looks like unfinished work. 😞

Amanda23 - Actually there is a way to do this. If you're going to put the same design on both of the accessory pouches you'll have to do separate products. If you don't mind doing that, when you are posting your product for sale, under product merchandising section it says "sell this design on" where you can leave it as is on "all options" or you can choose the drop down option of "this style only".

Thank you for your reply. I have considered doing that, but I’ve been hesitant for a couple of reasons: 1. I know people have said we shouldn’t create “duplicate” products. Would this be an example of this? 2. I’m a little afraid it might be confusing for my customers if they come from my products page. Do you think they’ll realize the difference?
I appreciate you taking time to detail this. I will definitely consider it, and I’d love to hear your thoughts. 🙂

What we're talking about here is the same design on two different products (a large bag and a small bag). So, no it wouldn't be considered a duplicate product. The accessory pouches are identical except for the size. Make sure that "small" or "large" is somewhere in your title (closer to the beginning so it will show in smaller previews where your full title gets cut off) and they should be able to see by the title what the difference is. When they get to the actual product to begin personalizing and it will be set to either the small or the large bag and the customer won't be able to change it. I would also put something like "available separately in a larger size" in your description. I have found that I can drive myself crazy trying to anticipate all the different ways customers may or may not perceive my products and I have decided that is an impossible task, so I'm just not going to worry about it. Of course, it would be so much easier if instead of being able to choose "all options" or "this option only" we had a drop down where with check boxes and we could choose more than one product. I hope this helps.

This does! Thank you:) I will remember to tailor the titles to the size and mention the other product in the description. Very good tips. Your advice is appreciated!

Shame that the sizing per panel is not matching on the duffel bag so expect to do tweaks for patterns
and the Dopp Kit bag has issues too with the artwork looking squashed on the left and right layers

Really excited about these products but I agree that separating them would make a lot more sense. And I would really love the option to offer a design as the small AND large pouch at once. It's either one of them or everything. The customer should be able to pick the size between the two.

I love all the additions. But I have noticed that on the smaller pouch the front product image looks correct with the Initial being centered. But when I view the last image with the pouch open, it looks way off centered, This may actually deter customers from buying as they would probably feel like they wouldn't know if it was going to turn out right or not. Here is a link to one of the accessory pouches where it looks right in the first image but the last one shows it way off centered:
Also, it doesn't keep image placement when copying design from the front and pasting it on the back. This makes designing a bit difficult if you want the images to wrap around correctly. I found this completely so by using a square from the elements section for the pink part at the top. When I copy and pasted it to the back the square was almost at the top by the zipper.
Edited to add: The tacked on Product in the title also is missing the letter "h" in the word "pouch".

I had the same problem with matching an object in the same location on the back when I tried to copy and paste it.

I have definitely noticed the preview looking off center in that later image as well. Thanks for thinking to mention it! (And glad to know I'm not the only one. I was a bit worried.)

Working on my first accessory pouch and came to see if anyone had yet noted how off the preview of the bag open is. That's the view I want to use as default but it looks terrible if you have a monogram or such centered on it. 😢
I noticed on the bag you posted as an example, the breadcrumbs at bottom of page that show what category it was placed in shows it as a crossbody bag rather than a cosmetics / toiletry bag.
I thought maybe Z had them mis-categorized here but nope, this is what happens if you publish as one bag type, edit to tweak the design for another of the bag types and publish again - Just like the rest of the meta-data, it retains the category of the first bag type, too, so you need to manually change it to the appropriate bag type. I don't know how this effects search and people trying to navigate by product category, so just an FYI for you and anyone else using this way to publish on the different bag types - remember to check the assigned category before publishing.

When I first saw "print, cut, and sew," I thought Zazzle was selling patterns with fabric for customers to put the products together themselves, but then I looked at the actual product descriptions and realized Zazzle is doing the cutting and sewing. If this confused me, isn't it possible the titles will also confuse customers?

I find the side opening on the SLING BAG (very strange name) to be very odd. This is giving the only access to the main storage area so I would rather it be a larger (top most) opening.
I searched online for "Sling bag" and see that they are available both ways, plus an opening down center of compartment long-wise. I just recently switched to this type of bag - mine has an opening across top, from side to side. Will have to wait and see what the public decides.

Sling bag backside insitu issue (right side view above) is upside down as you can see with the upside down letters H G F E D C etc - artwork correctly placed on the left hand layer
Hope I made sense🤣

this wasn't obvious to me until I used a dark solid background color for the mesh end of the large duffel bag:
please remove the paler splotches in the lower left corners below and behind the mesh (it doesn't give prospective clients the best first impression of the duffel bag).
Thank You!

I think need on mockups include human element like hand holding, as many people dont have idea how big is 20 inch, so then later wont say I imagined it was bigger ....

Posted this in a separate thread but then found this topic…
If you copy design from the front of a Dopp Kit and paste it to the back, the design is placed much higher. Have to manually move everything down for the front and the back to match. Basically, front and back of the Dopp Kit do not match. Even the grid, if you turn it on, extends further on the front.
Accessory Bags also have similar problem. Please fix that. Thank you.

Great to see more new products! I have been hoping for cosmetic bags for ages! Agree with above, alignment is all out from front/back so difficult for us to align well. Agree should be separate products listings. The customer unlikely to be able to get things to align correctly if they are swapping to a different product type.

The "indexing" is a bit behind on these. I navigated to duffle bags and sorted by Newest and the newest one listed is still same one from the very early morning hours of 3/23. Also, there are about half a dozen on the first page with no image, clicking them gets the Oops no product found page. They're all from the same designer too so something glitchy there the Creator may need a heads-up on if it's something they can fix on their end. (Been like this for two days since I started checking results to see if mine has shown up yet.)

More on Dopp Kit. The little flaps on the left and right sides, the design size on them looks different in different preview pictures. I tried to match the pattern as best as I could but on Front view the pattern looks small, Side view - it looks better but squished vertically. Very confusing.

@ColsCreations I'd guess the small safe zone for the right side indicates the part of the design that will definitely not be behind the mesh pocket

LOVE these products !! but - as said here before - alligning front and back of the accessory pouch is off. Esp. difficult with designing horizontal stripes, or getting texts / names at the same height. The Dopp Kit is lovely but a nightmare in designing; to get all the different areas the same size is very hard! (Same goes for the backpacks by the way). If you could olaese fix this... 🙏

Could Zazzle not give us a ratio front: sides in duffle bags and pouches, like 1:9 f.i., to get the patterns matching? In stead of 'eying' it on the basis of the previews?

I agree with people saying these products should be separate, except for Accessory Pouches. Could we please have a choice “Accessory Pouches only” under bag type so the customers can switch between the Large and the Small pouch? Thank you.

Duffel Bag name is misspelled. In the bag type drop menu they are listed as Large Duffel Bag and Small Duffel Bag, but when you create one, the system adds Duffle Bag . I'm not a native English speaker, but I’m guessing it should be the first version, Duffel, at least for American version.

That's very keen of you to have noticed! Both spellings are acceptable though the ...le version is apparently more British. The ...el version is used everywhere I checked on the US domain except for the product type automatically appended to the title where it's ...le. Regardless of which spelling they go with it's going to effect search results depending on how the searcher natively spells it. Hopefully Zazzle can code it to treat both spellings the same regardless of which spelling the searcher uses. On a side note, I just looked at the UK site to see if they use the ...le version there but duffels haven't populated on that domain yet, not even if you go directly to your store.

I know as a new product line this is all still a work-in-progess but trying to find one's way to JUST duffel bags is problematic right now.
If you go to Zazzle's Site Map and scroll down to Accessories --> Gym & Duffel Bags, that takes you to https://www.zazzle.com/c/gym+bags which shows only 62 products with only maybe half of them actually being these print-cut-sew duffels. If you click the category filter on that page you can see you are in
but if you go up one level to Bags, Gym & Duffels is no longer a category you can choose to get back to.
If instead you search for [duffel bag] you get this, 430 results many of which aren't duffel bags.
If from that page you click the "Shop by Category" choice at top of page for "Gym & Duffel Bags" you then get 354 results, which are all pretty much these duffels until page 3 where you then start getting other products types.
If you start from zazzle.com and use the left pop-out nav menu to go Shop by Category --> Accessories --> Bags, no matter which way you go about it you can't find a way to duffel bags, they are not included in the pop-out menu or cat filter.

Is it duffel or duffle? I looked this up and found that the spelling of duffle is an English corruption of the original word duffel. Although spellings of both words are still in use, duffel has been the preferred spelling since the Second World War. I see that Zazzle is using both spellings of the word. The product title is using the English spelling, and the product description is using the American spelling. Probably a wise thing to do so Goggle searches pick up both spellings.

I'm only seeing this now 🙂
And wondered what on earth a dopp kit is?
So I found this:
https://www.graveltravel.com/blogs/gravel-travels/what-is-a-dopp-kit
"Although the term "Dopp kit" is becoming obsolete, it's perfectly fine to call it that when referring to a toiletry bag. It's just that some people won't catch the Dopp kit meaning without a little background info."
Maybe I am not the only one who wonders?
