Spam Message in Zazzle Chat

Today, I received an obvious spam message via Zazzle Chat. Wanted to alert others in case you get the same type of chat message. I reported the sender and blocked her.  Here is the message she sent:                                                   Hello friend, You have beautiful designs in your store. Finding the ideal buyers for your items is where the profit is. How are you running viral marketing for your products to increase closet exposure significantly to generate tons of sales?

I'll usually answer "Hello, can I help you with one of my designs?".  Most of the time they send back something about how they can help me get more sales or something along the lines of what the OP got, and others never answer back so I just report, block and delete.  That way I don't have to worry that I missed helping someone, but at the same time, I know this is always spam.  I am fairly sure messaging has nothing to do with our account standing or how we are found in google.

If people still fall for these types of scams, no amount of warning is going to help them.

In addition to which, very very very few Zazzlers check this forum ever. Best way to alert would be for Zazzle to send all designers a general message of warning as these messages are coming all time.

Just come here to report the same. Also reported as spam - that's the least we can do. (also told them not to contact anyone else on the platform 😂 )

Funny wording is always a tip off. I never even thought about increasing my "closet exposure". I am not even sure what the spammer/scammer is trying to say!

I interpreted their chat message as trying to engage me in a chat session with them in an attempt to have me partner with them to market my designs - giving them exposure to a wider market. I did not think it wise to enter a conversation with them.

I am bothered that Z has not commented yet about  - reporting the same person for receiving the same message.

Hello! A bit off-topic, but still between the boundaries;) Now, I got the typical spam message saying: hello, how are you doing? And truly, I don´t really wanna answer to entertain that person. My question is: if I don´t answer the messages on Zazzle, does it have any impact on the account (like in Google, for example)? Thanks in advance for your reply!

I got a similar message offering me marketing services, I told them I'd be reporting them for spam, hopefully, that will work as a deterrent while waiting for Zazzle to get back tomorrow.

I had a similar one the other day and I also reported it as spam.  The person was nice and all but also included their fiver.com information if I was to change my mind. Sounds like people may be using Z's chat option as a way of soliciting to shop owners, which I don't think should be allowed.

Got the same one a couple of days ago. Reported & deleted.

I've been getting some as well with the latest saying "

Hello,

I looked over your website and discovered that you offer incredible designs at affordable pricing. I’m curious to know if you’re open to the notion of promoting your business to your target market in a genuine and natural approach that will help you pull in organic traffic with a high proportion of sales conversion. I’m a professional digital marketer with a ton of expertise."

My services are of a high caliber and are reasonably priced, so let’s get to business."  I just block them.  They write to me on twitter and instagram as well trying to get you to pay them for marketing your products.

I've been getting a few of these viral marketing spam messages too. I made a copy and paste answer if anyone wants to use it. I reply with it and then report and block.

If you would like to make money off of Zazzle without any cost to you, and without having to contact individual Zazzle designers, here is what you can do.

1) Sign up as a Zazzle Affiliate here:

https://www.zazzle.com/sell/affiliates

2) Promote any designer's products with your proven successful strategies.

3) Make 15% and up to 17% commission

You can potentially make many thousands of dollars a month doing this. And you'll be doing the same thing you're offering to do in this message.

If you decide to promote Zazzle products, I wish you the best of luck : )

Idk...maybe it's dumb. But maybe they'll get the idea ha! I can see that we're all probably going to be getting a lot of these, and I would hate for anyone to fall for them. It makes no sense to solicit money from designers when they can make money as affiliates if they're so great at promoting.

I've also noticed that the spams come in waves. And to be frank, they are a bl***y nuisance! I live in a different time zone and will typically log into my Z account in the morning before I go to work, just in case I need to answer customer requests/questions. Whenever I  see these spam messages first thing in the morning, my day is usually not off to a good start 😒.

I received one today that said "Hello there I a professional digital marketer with vast years of experience, I looked over your Zazzle store, and I like your designs.
As I was browsing your Zazzle store, I saw that you had few Favorites, Followers, and Favorited. I have the most effective marketing, i have a lot of strategies i will use to drive real and organic traffic to your Zazzle store that will lead to high sales conversion. Some of these strategies are:

STORE SEO-- SEO stands for 'Search Engine Optimization', which is the process of getting traffic from free, organic, editorial, or natural search results in search engines. Majorly SEO will make your store rank first in every aspect. It aims to improve your store position in search results pages. The higher your store is listed, the more people will see it.

STORE BACK LINKING: Store backlink is when one store links to another with an anchor text. An example of a backlink is any article you find that links to another source or website.

Email Campaign: Email campaign is a sequence of marketing efforts that contacts multiple recipients at once. Email campaigns are designed to reach out to subscribers at the best time and provide valuable content and relevant offers. Using email campaigns allows you to build deep and trusting relationships with your customers.

I have more strategies that i can use to boost your sales Contact me through this link below so i can get start to proof my years of experiences"  How do you report it as spam?

@Jstonge

Look for the three dots in the top right hand corner of the message when it's open. ( ) (tho' smaller than those)

Then click the three dots next to their name - there's the option to block user and also report user (I normally do both for good measure)

Anyone else noting this chat message/behavior:

You get an email message that tells you there's a message for you in chat - you can see the message in your email - but when you go to the Zazzle site - there is no indication of that message in your chat entries.  It's as if the spammers have found a way to contact us GOING AROUND Z chat?

That's probably the spam filters removing the message from your chat listing.

OK - that's great - cuz I'm not gonna answer those scammer people anyhow!

I received an odd one today - NO ZAZZLE BADGE, but from a woman whose name I'll omit - Independent Creator. It said suspicious activity has been detected on your account. Provide your email address for further instructions or your stores will be closed in 24 hours. Knowing I shouldn't, I couldn't help but reply w/o email given: Thank you. I have forwarded your chat message  and identification to Zazzle to help. Immediately, she responded: sorry my account was hacked i didnt send this message i already recovered my account sorry again
