When we are in chat with a customer who wants us to help them add a logo to business cards and they send us the logo through chat, please remove the watermarks from the image. It is difficult to help them with the image if it has been rendered useless by the watermarks 🙂

I have a customer who just asked me to help add his logo to a business card. I don't want to have to go through the explanation of why I can not help him. I just want to be able to grab the logo, add it to a business card, send them a link and get the sale

Thank you in advance for considering this

Is there some way to actually download an image that's sent through chat? If I right click and save, I just get a tiny thumbnail... but at least the Zazzle watermarks are gone! 🙄

Seriously, if there is some way for a customer to send a full-size image through chat, I'd love to know what it is. The only way I've found is to have them email it to me or to use the collaboration feature.

When you are in chat, just normal click on the image the customer has sent. It will expand right there on your screen. Then right-click on it, and choose 'Open Image in New Tab'. In the new tab you can then save the image at the correct size by another right-click and choosing 'Save Image as...'. Then go back to the chat tab, where the customer image is still enlarged on your screen, and click the gray X allllll the way in the right top corner of your chat screen to close the opened image your customer sent, and you'll be back in chat. You have to look real good to see that X, but it's there. On my screen it's visible to the right of the shopping cart.

@igiftcenter  The watermark has not always been there, I've sent images back and forth with customers in the past and it wasn't there. If I check those images from the past in chat now, they are indeed all with a watermark. As a temporary solution, till you'll get a response from Zazzle, if you haven't thought about this yourself yet... Maybe you can use the collaboration feature in the Create/Design tool?

Hope this helps 🙂

Hi @igiftcenter,

Appreciate the suggestion, I'll be forwarding this to our Team now.

Thank you 🙂

thank you all for your responses and thank you Cian for passing my request along.

In reply to one of the above posts: that is a lot of work but I appreciate your suggesting a work around. But really... we are always wanting to serve our customer requests in the most efficient way possible and in the least time possible in this NY minute world we live in 🙂

A simple removal of the watermark in chat images will go a long way in being able to quickly respond to a customer request such as the one I mentioned in my original post. On a site with this much competition I want to be able to accommodate my client requests...quickly and to their satisfaction

Edit: alternatively I'd like to see an on/ off button for the watermarks. There ARE times we want to send a sample to a customer and the watermarks are useful for that purpose.

@Username Thanks for your instructions, but I can't get it to work.

When I regular click to open the image, it's a nice big picture with the Zazzle watermarks all over it, but from there I have two separate problems. Most of the time when I right click on that big image, I can't get it to give me the correct menu - the menu that pops up doesn't recognize it as an image or something, and if I click save, it saves the web page, not the image! On the odd occasion when I can get it to open the image menu, if I either right click and open it in a new window or right click and save I get something that's got a maximum dimension of 200 pixels - but at least the watermarks are gone!

I wonder what I'm doing wrong...

Hi guys, I played around with this some more, and bare with me, I am merely trying to help till Zazzle comes up with a solution on how to treat images send through chat. Which can as we know take a while since the Team has a lot on it's plate that they can't even get to. So a workaround could be helpful right now till things change.

I noticed the watermark is linked to the size of the image. When you do a regular click and then a right-click to take the image to a new tab, you will notice dim=1024 at the end of the URL of the new tab. When you do a right right-click immediately on the image in the chat conversation... in the URL you will see... _dim=200&image_type=png. In either case, if you change the dimension '1024' or dimension '200' to 704 it will loose the watermark, and from there you can save it to your device. The dimension of 704 is as small/large as you can go in the URL, otherwise the watermark will show again. Once you have it saved you can change the resolution and image size, within limitations of course before it starts to get blurry. I tested it with a logo of 704x704x on a business card, and it works fine.

Remember, I'm handing a workaround, not a perfect solution. You're welcome 🙂

@Username Thanks for the workaround! I'm able to get it to work as long as I start by right-clicking on the thumbnail, not on the expanded or opened image.

It's very strange. If I regular click to open or expand the attached image, then when I right click I just get the standard web menu, the one you'd get if you right clicked anywhere on a web page - like it doesn't recognize it as an image or something. Wondering if it's a browser issue - I tried both Chrome & Edge with the same results. Which browser do you use?

Yes, I would like this re the images we send them. I often send them an 'instructional image' to save me typing everything out and screenshots work really well for helping them out. But the mass of z's can obscure the text.

Thank you for looking into this and to @igiftcenter  for suggesting it!

@Username I also thought I detected something re image size, I will try your suggestion as this works well for me sending them images. Thank you!
