Can Customers Still Edit and Download Multiple Times?

Hi Guys, I'm wondering if anyone knows where this issue finally landed. I know that originally it was set up so that the customer could make changes after their purchase and download it multiple times - does it still work that way?

I'm asking because I have a customer who wants a digital download for some place cards that she needs at the last minute and I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle it. The easiest for me is to just put the design on a small card/invitation, but if she's going to have to purchase each one individually, I'll probably want to adjust the pricing so it's reasonable. On the other hand, if she can re-download without re-purchasing, I'd want to set a much higher price.

Does anybody know how it's currently working?

i just checked an instant download I purchased from another designer as a test back in March of 2023. I still have the option to Edit and/or download it.

It was a folded card, so four different "artworks"/design areas to customize and download independently. I just customized the front five different times and was able to instantly download the result each time. I stopped after that so if there's a limit, it's more than 5.

Just FYI - after I clicked to download, you get a screen asking if you are wanting to use the result digitally or for print. If you choose Print, the only option you then get is for a PDF version. If you choose Digital, you get the options of jpg, png, or pdf. I had to go through those choices each time I downloaded a different edit. And if it's a multi-sided item like my card sample, you have to choose which design part you want to download. So just FYI to help you help your customer through the process if necessary.

So that makes it very easy for unwanted use of "digital downloads". I will need to rethink this. Not comfortable with this at all. Thank you for bringing this up, @Cat
