Collections adding and rearranging mess

Trying to add and rearrange products to a collection creates a mess. Newly added products not appearing and trying to rearrange creates a multitude of double products.

I do not have a solution, but wanted to say this is also happening to one of my collections. I even tried deleting the collection entirely and starting over; however, I experienced the same issue of duplicate products showing up and others disappearing from the collection when I attempts to sort/rearrange anything.

Hi Anne, I don't have a solution either and it's not only you. I discovered this yesterday, in only one collection, when trying to take one product to the top. The other collections seemed to be okay in both stores. Early in the morning when I tried one last time, it duplicated the product like yours 10x.

When I signed in today, first thing I did was try to move it up and it worked like a charm. Spent today making many products for same collection, and it's happening again. I'm hoping it's something they're working on and will be fixed soon.  😊

Oh my goodness I'm nearly in tears out of frustration trying to arrange or re-arrange products in some of my collections. The order is all messed up or there are duplicate products showing up and if I try to move something to the end the entire page disappears. I have tried two different browsers and it happens on both.
I was in a collection with about 80 items. Three address labels somehow had jumped to the top so I tried to move them to the end- where they had been. And then I get this-

From what I can tell, all of this seems to only happen when you click the "load more products."

I hope this bug can be fixed quickly and easily! It's really really messing things up!

Hi Scott!

In this collection, I tried to move the foil card to the end and it glitched again like it was doing to me over the weekend (see the image above).

In this collection, I see the blanket twice but when I view on another browser where I'm logged out, I see it correctly.

If I come across anything else, would you prefer I share here or email?

About product ordering...I was able to reproduce an issue (probably the same issue that you ran into). Looks like others are seeing this too. We'll get this fixed.

How are you sorting/ordering your products? With the default sort method (Managed) you can only re-order the Bonus products. During my testing I put all the wine labels first, then the drink mixes second. If that's not how you want them to appear then you'll need to reorder them (Sorry for not writing down the ordering beforehand. I had it all remembered then I triggered the error that you saw above and I shifted my focus to trying to gather data). Are you using another sorting method? If so, that would be good to know.

If you meant to link me to a second collection it didn't come through. Can you reply back to the main discussion with a link to the second collection? This way we can have two threaded conversations here.

I see two fleece and one sherpa at the end here. But in another browser logged out I just see the one fleece (as it should be)

I only see one blanket at this time. Perhaps this has cleared up.

Hi Scott - I took a look this morning and this collection in both the public and creator view had a random card moved to the first slot. I didn't do that. So this morning I moved it down a few rows. That worked fine. But when I went to pull something from lower down in the collection up higher, it did this -

I think what I'm noticing is that when you click "load more products" that's when things start to go awry. If I want to move something from the bottom it doesn't seem to like that.

Yeah, this may be related to the other issue that you've mentioned (the one where the product grid disappears). Engineering is aware.

Hi @Scott 

My one collection started messing up about 6 days ago. Problem with not being able to move items to top of Collection, after I click Load More Products, to get to my most recent moved up. It lets me move it up a few rows and then it goes back. If I try again, screen goes white. EDIT: After reading through this again, I see that Engineering is aware of the problems. Thank you so much for dealing with this.

I just want to make this a record of a Bug Report.

 Just a note to say this is still happening and appears to only be a problem with larger collections when you try to move products up from below the fold of 'loading more products'.

So now it is not making so many copies of products any more, thanks for that. However, the order does not stick.

The issue causing products to be duplicated should be resolved now. I'm going to close this discussion to new replies. If there are other issues with reordering products in a collection then let's discuss that in a new discussion thread.
