Collections Disappearing

I just noticed at least 2, probably more, of my collections have disappeared. I can add items into these collections but when I search of the collection it is no where. Anyone else have this happen?

@nikkileigh  it helps the Tech Team if you can provide the collection title so they can investigate.

Where are you searching for the collections? In your store front or back end collection tab?

Or are you searching when trying to add a product in the 'add to collection' option in the store back end?

Is it a new collection?

It helps the tech team if you can give as much information as you can - eg what browser are you using? Are you on windows or mac? Do you have any sort of ad block installed? Are they new collections or have they been there a while? The more information you can give the better.

If they are brand new collections or you've recently changed it's name - it could be an indexing issue. I've had that happen when I've created a collection and tried to add products via search in the back end and the collection doesn't appear in that search.

These are older collections not new at all. One collection name is "Winter Onederland Pink and Silver" I can add items to this collection, but when I look through all of my collections back end or storefront it is not there. When I click on an item I know is in this collection it does not give collection information in the listing like it should. I work on a Mac.

when I search for that collection in your profile tab - it appears as expected and was last updated Nov 20

Double check it's still assigned to your store (edit collection - your stores)

and check the check box next to the store you want it to appear in - submit to save.

As the collection has been modified recently, you'll have to wait a few days for the collection to index. Each time you add new products to a collection - it needs to re- index so if you add a newly created product - it takes time for the collection to appear at the bottom of the new product's listing

I know but it's not appearing in my old products either. It does not show up when I search it in my store but you are right it does show up on my profile, It is correctly assigned to my shop so not sure what to do now.

I don't know either why it's not showing up in your store front search.

I just tried again and it's not appearing on your store front using the title as a search term.

It is showing as a cross sell collection under the couple of products I checked and as it's still searchable on your profile, it should still be searchable in the grand scheme of things in the great collection database in theory.

I've had collections get borked in the past and and start a new one but that's a lot of work for 65 items.

Or you could wait to see if it reappears or wait until Tech Team get a chance to look at it behind the scenes

In your Magnolia Weddings store I see 17 results. Bride to Bee, Winter Berries & Simple Wildflower collections are empty.

ok, thanks, that is probably because they still need work. I am not concerned with those, or that store at the moment 🙂
