In one of my stores (k8coGifts, link is in signature), I made my holiday collections inactive, and they have disappeared from my list of collections entirely.

What are you trying to accomplish by setting the collections to Inactive?
And, yes, there are a few issues with collections that have been reported recently. We're working on them now.

Two of the Christmas ones do show up, but there are several others that don't.

I just noticed that one of my collections, that was NOT inactive - actually with my bestsellers - is gone!! If I type the name of the collection i see it, but when i click to go into the collection i get this message:
Request Error << Go back to where you were An unexpected error occurred while processing your request. Please try again later. If you got to this page after manually entering the URL into the Address field of your browser, please make sure that it is spelled correctly.
If i check the products individually no collection shows up! I just tried adding a new item to this collection, and got 'an error has accured' notification.
@ScottCan you please look into this??
It is my: Under Water Wold - Coral Reef Collection, in my NewParkLane store. I don't know how to give you a collection_ID if there is no longer a collection...?

If you check the Technical Issue Forum before posting you'll find this thread started 3 days prior to yours.

I did check that forum, but for some reason didn't think it pertained to mine. Who knows what I was thinking at the time! Thanks.

Somehow I heard the idea that it was good to set collections to inactive that were not current, e.g., Christmas. I'm really regretting that move now.

I don't know if you've found the solution after all these months. I too had set a collection to inactive, but my reason was because I simply wanted to design products and set them to the collection I had already created a primary photo for and had two products that applied to that collection. But, I didn't want the collection visible until I had more products inside. The collection I deactivated didn't show in my collections and I had hid it from myself. I found the collection under "My Stuff" on the left while in the particular store in which I had created it. Upon scrolling, I found the image & title I had created for that collection. Once tapping on it, it opened and the option to activate it was there.

Thank you so much! Phew. I came to the community looking for an answer to the same problem. Like you, I made a few collections inactive until I had a reasonable amount of products in the collection before I published it.
