Products For Collections are NOT going to Their MAIN spot as per Required Items

I have some products which are published correctly on the 'right items for the category' along with correct product categorization etc which are going to BONUS products and not filling their spots on 'required' collection page which is preventing my collection from being 'complete' and publishing.

This is a hit and miss issue, so it might 'resolve' itself, so I will keep an eye on it, but thought I'd post incase others who have fulfilled the spots correctly (as I have) are experiencing a similar issue.

I just this minute created a new product to test this, but my product and the one I created earlier this morning are not even showing in the back end. This whole place seems to be falling apart. Anyway, I am not able to test this issue to let you know if it's happening to me as well.

I am sure they are doing some very big work behind the scenes and that we will see the site working better soon. I would appreciate some kind of an update at some point, but so far have not seen anything.

SOLVED! I was the problem ... had the collection set as the wrong category hence products not populating the spot!
