I've had some requests to add a return address to the standard envelopes that come with invitations. This seems like a reasonable request of service for the customer to ask. I send them to the custom envelopes but there's a lot of room for confusion with buying the correct sizes.  And many don't want to deal with sticker return address labels. I have had several potential clients tell me they do not like having to create an account in order to purchase a product, especially something very inexpensive like a card. It currently takes a very long time to set up a thorough store category tree in Zazzle. If I am making a listing for an item that should be placed in a new category several sub-categoies deep, it takes so many clicks! Aside on the Maths of Making A New Category - Skip this if youre in a rush To make a top-level category, it takes 2 clicks: New, and 'Edit Category'. That's not bad. But the deeper your tree goes, the clicks goes way up. 2nd level category: 4 clicks (New > Select > Click top-level category to nest under > 'Edit Category') 5th level category: 7 clicks (New > Select > Click top-level category, 2nd level, 3rd level, 4th level > 'Edit Category') If you were making a 5th level category from scratch, that would make 2+4+5+6+7=24 clicks. And this is all if you do it while creating a product listing. If you do it in category management, you also have to factor in whole pages loading for each click. New Idea: Text Editor Here is my idea. It would be great if there were a plain text editor to plan out the department tree. It could use a symbol like a > to indicate a subcategory For example, a tree for clothing and then womens clothing and then shirts could be typed out like this: Apparel > Womens > Tops A whole apparel tree may look like this: Apparel Apparel > Womens Apparel > Womens > Tops Apparel > Womens > Tops > T-Shirts Apparel > Womens > Tops > Sleeveless Tops Apparel > Womens > Tops > Outerwear Apparel > Womens > Tops > Outerwear > Sweaters Apparel > Womens > Bottoms Apparel > Womens > Bottoms > Leggings Ideally there would also be a functionality where if you tried to delete a line / category, you would be prompted where you'd like those items to be moved - to a new category or to an 'unsorted' category. The benefit of a system like this would be the speed at which one could make new categories - as fast as typing. This would be multiplied by being able to copy lines and edit them, to make a new department and all its subcategories even faster. For example, I could copy the above line and change Womens to Mens. Another benefit would be the clarity. I can see the whole tree on one screen. It's easier to tell if I am missing a category or need to copy one from say, the Mens branch to the Womens branch. Another alternative way to design the category tree could be a flowchart. Again, the ability to copy and paste pieces would be very important to increasing efficiency of tree editing. One last suggestion I would like to make is that clearly Zazzle already has a very good department tree set up. There probably are people who don't want to mess around with having to invent their own, especially if they are new to Zazzle and POD in general. It could save a lot of time for such people if the personal category tree could just be a copy of the Zazzle Department tree. And then simply hiding categories on the Store page if they are unused i.e. contain 0 products. Thank you to anyone who read all this. I know it's a long post. From what I can tell, the "Search this store" search doesn't include word variants such as plurals or close matches. For instance, if I have a product with the tag "dragon" and instead search for "dragons," that product doesn't show up at all. It makes it difficult for me to find things within my own store, so I know that it isn't serving my customers well either. ... View more

Hi Team Zazzle.  Sometimes I search the marketplace to test out different ideas and often click on EP's that I find to test my ideas.  Something I am noticing with many EP's is that the designs look great!  I get why they were chosen from a visual point of view.  But I have found that when it comes to function, some designs fail. A few examples: You enter text into a text field template where the text field template extends off the design area.  When long text is entered it disappears from from view. Or a text field for a name is set to the length of the name displayed... say five letters long, but once the sixth letter is entered it appears on a different line... In the case of skateboards, once the wheel trucks are attached to the board, the design is ruined.  Sometimes the trucks cover a focal point of the design and others they cover a text field making the text field unreadable...  Sometimes the text field is set to the whole board and the name displayed is 6 letters long.  Once a seventh letter is entered, the design is broken... And it would be a great idea to test upload photos to make sure the designer properly set none/fit and fill options.  Most of these seem to be OK, but every now and then I find one where things aren't set right...  As I don't know much about this part of designing here, I can't guess as to why this is happening... In any event, I love the program, even though I don't tend to get more than one or two a year.  But I am thrilled when I do.  From a customer's point of view though, I would expect the chosen designs to be the best of the best in every way.  Testing the functionality of the designs would ensure that that expectation is met. The notifications do not currently link to the specific product that is shown in them, but simply to general areas in the backend, leaving you to search for the object you have been notified about.  I hope this can be upgraded so that where where there is an image, it takes you to that specific product.  For example, I'll often see a notification that says "you have one product that needs optimization."  Let's say I think, wow, I really want to fix that item and get it back into marketplace.  But if I click on that notification it brings me to the big general listing of all of my products that need optimization instead of to the specific product I just saw an image of.  I would have to hunt - sometimes through several pages, to find that item I'd been notified about.  So I wind up not doing anything about it at that moment. It would be much more effective as a prompt if I could click on the image and immediately fix or delete the item that needs optimization. The sales notifications also bring you to a generic page - the page with all recent sales.  That works for me, and I think it's less important for those notifications to go to the item page.  However, it would be really helpful if those optimization prompts took me right through to the specific product so I can take action on it.  I would definitely get more done. ... Looking at all the stationery products that Zazzle has to offer, the one thing that's sorely missing is spiral-bound memo books. I use them all the time! The most popular sizes are 3 x 5 and 4 x 6 inch, with college ruled paper inside. Many of the local chain stores offer them in packs of three or more. I would like to see Zazzle offer them in these sizes. I checked out the new Instagram videos for the making of products and was disappointed. They went too fast and were too narrow to gain any concept of how things are done. YouTube is a far better format for this with the time, natural speed, and wide format and can, therefore, be vastly more informative. Hi, often times I have scenes or objects that I have grouped because they have a number of elements but then I cannot use the tiling function.  I don’t know why the system would be confused if the item was already considered a single entity.  Is there a reason why grouping and tiling have to be mutually exclusive?
