Okay, I've looked at enough answers to royalty questions and none seems to answer my question. I'm already crazy busy updating old products and putting covers on and working on collections....Ahhhhh!
So, here is what I did. I tried to select 204 postcards on a page and then did the select, edit details, royalty change. I changed it and I got the friendly little green popup, "Your changes have been saved." Okay, Yay. I checked a postcard a couple rows from the top and it had the pending royalty change under current royalty. Marvelous. Then I thought, I better check further down. Because last fall when the holiday royalty freeze was taking place I didn't check after changing royalties and most of my products did not change.. And I was stuck with a higher royalty that could have hindered sales. Because I sure as heck didn't sell much and it couldn't have anything to do with my products. It was definitely the higher royalties. 😛
I tried it again. Same results. So I thought, hmm, maybe smaller batches and eventually took it down to 24 at a time which would take forever to do but I tried anyway. The first page worked great. The second as well. It didn't work after that. So I thought, maybe it would work to change everything to the new rate if I did a universal royalty? I tried that last year I think as well and it didn't work then and it didn't work this time. It would only change ones I'd edited or new ones if I changed on "sell it" page.
I have over 12,000 products. I'd be happy to change royalties on just a few types of products. I don't want to find out none of the royalties changed. Again.
Is the system just bogged down too much? I'd love to hear from someone who has the answer. I will kiss your feet, curtsey before you, I will eat your food before you do so you won't get poisoned...okay, that's a little much. Please help! I thank you in advance.
