How to use the design tool on ipad?

Does anyone here use an ipad for Zazzle designing? I can't figure out how to get it to work! When I try to hide layers, for example, tapping on the right side of the layer tab where the "eye" is, doesn't do anything except select that layer, and sometimes lock it. And then if it locks, I can't get it unlocked! If I try to move artwork or text around, it jumps all over the place and half the time grabs a different  layer. Changing fonts or trying to edit text gives me fits also! What is going on! No wonder why customers ask me to do simple little tweaks even after I explain to them how to easily do it themselves! They are probably on a phone or tablet, and find the design tool impossible to use!

Hi Connie, I use my iPad almost exclusively to design and run my store. It does have its quirks that’s for sure! Are you using a pencil or your finger? I’ve asked this question before in this post https://community.zazzle.com/t5/general-zazzle-discussion/using-ipad-only/m-p/32347

I use an iPad almost exclusively for designing my products too. I have also noticed the quirk regarding the eye and lock function. What I have noticed is that there is a delay between tapping with your finger and the mode changing, so you have to be patient. It is frustrating, I'll admit!

I work on my iPad for drafting designs and usually leave the fine tuning to the desktop computer. I have noticed the delay tapping the eye and lock functions -- I thought it was a connectivity issue.  I rarely make any changes using my phone.

I do most of my work on my computer, but I paint designs on Procreate. So sometimes I want to see how a particular element will fit on a Zazzle product, while I'm still working on that element. I would like to be able to save a png and pop it right into Zazzle on the ipad, without having to go to my computer to see what it looks like.

I use my iPad for everything. I think the browser you are using can make things work better or worse. Also are you using a mouse? It helps a lot.

Which browser works best do you think? I’m using Safari. I’m using the Apple Pencil, which seems to help, but I’ll try a mouse too.

I don't have a mouse for ipad, I use Apple Pencil.

Do Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator work on the iPad? If so, then you can preview what your designs will look like on zazzle products using Adobe Design to Print.

I’m also using ipad just recently. How do you select multiple layers? But not all of them? Lol 😅

The only way I’ve found to select multiple layers is by using a keyboard, though it’s certainly not ideal
