New free Nifty tool released - the Nifty Product Views Animator (Nifty PVA)

Now you can easily make and share animated gifs of a product's various in-situ views, totally and completely for free!

Nothing fancy, they're not linked or anything. You supply a background image sized for the social media you intend to share on and the product view images are animated on top of it at a size and postition you set.

In the help, you'll find the ideal sizes for all the most popular social media, including Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram and more.

Here's one I made a little earlier:

When you visit the tool, you'll be guided through setting things up, including getting the bookmarklet that does all the magic.

Do use the green help buttons - that's where you'll find the sizes of background image you need for sharing in various places. There are also instructions on making your animated gif. When you've done it once, you'll probably not need them again.

Some places don't accept animated gifs, so the help includes a link to somewhere you can convert them to MP4s, which are accepted by them.

So, to give it a spin, visit:

Enjoy!

Thank you for this, it's very helpful. However, I don't quite understand how to create the background image. I must be missing something. Any help you could give me on this would be greatly appreciated.

The tool doesn't help you create the background image at all, @A_New_View

You'll need to find one to use on a public domain site like unsplash or make one using photoshop or other graphics program. You don't need need to punch a hole in it, I do that just to make it easier to place the product view master image.

I've added a notes facility so you've got somewhere to store your background image links and notes on where and what you've been promoting.

Find it at the very bottom

I've found out, sadly, that the animated gif doesn't animate on Pinterest when you upload it during pin creation 😪

I know what to do about it but it'll take a while to write the code needed.

Version 2 and still free

I've now made significant chages so that you can get animations on Pinterest.

It always uses your ref id and a tracking code unless you're in the Zazzle Promoter Program. If you are, there's a box for you to check so that you get clean links instead.

Here's a pin I made with it. Follow this link to see it animating.

This is what the sharing section at the bottom of the new Product Views Animator looks like:

Unfortunately Pinterest still gets the pin title and description by pulling it from the linked product page. This means that it will use Zazzle's generic product type description and there's nothing we can do about it 😞

You'll need the new bookmarklet, so visit this page and you'll be guided in getting it. Don't forget to delete your old bookmarklet first (right-click it on your toolbar and choose delete).

Enjoy 😁

I've tweaked the Product Views Animator to allow for up to 15 product / in-situ images.

It used to be 10 but I found that gift wrap has 12. Hopefully 15 will cover all products.
I'm having lots of fun with it!
