The past few days I e-mailed back and forth with a customer, send her several examples of the product with her logo on it, and today it finally happened, she was very pleased with the design, she bought the product via the direct only link I e-mailed her. I am happy with the sale because it is a nice amount that I am going to receive, but even if the amount had not been so nice, it is such a disappointment to see that Zazzel considers this sale as "Referred None", it doesn't feel right... I think its high time that the minimum royalty before the carve out for designers (or creators or whatever we are deemed these days lol) should reflect the same thing that is happening everywhere. Prices on products have increased across the board, but we are still charged an additional fee after 14.9% which has been in place for a decade+. Should that not also reflect the times? Found the time to dive a tad deeper into your download offers and I'm missing the option on flat cards plus the allowance of limited commercial use, mainly for the purpose of creating and sharing electronic greetings. In my opinion, these product and license additions could rise sales without hurting Zazzle or us designers. In detail: Extend download option to flat greeting & holiday cards, and perhaps also to letterhead/stationery paper Apparently, if I'm not wrong, the download option on certain types of flat cards (some invitation variants) is already given. Unfortunately, it's missed on regular flat greeting/holiday cards. For sharing purposes, downloadable flat cards make more sense than folded ones, since you have either just one (front) or max two (front & back) images to share. Letterhead/stationery papers (paper sheets) also may make sense, because people may not want to spend 1, 2, or more $ per printed sheet but would likely spend let's say 10$ for a downloadable stationery design they can print on their printers at their own discretion. I'm aware, this could result in fewer physical purchases but it could also lead to more customers buying such products if provided digitally. Extend license to limited commercial use for sharing purposes (e-cards) Zazzle addresses not only private customers but also small businesses (see the whole business cards & stationery segment). Nowadays more and more businesses - like privates - send their wishes in digital formats on socials and via email and/or phone apps/messages. All these small businesses willing to buy downloadable electronic cards are actually cut-off due to the license agreements being limited to private usage. IMO, these agreements should include a limited commercial usage of invites/greeting/holiday cards for sharing purposes (socials, emails, phone/messaging apps). Hey Zazzle! LOVING the new Real Foil wedding invitations!!!!! Just wondering: were you planning to introduce the standard enclosure cards for real foil as well? It's not working too well trying to re-purpose existing foil cardstock for the purpose of weddings, especially in the RSVP's where you want a vertical rsvp, but can't change the orientation of the back of the card. We've tried simply rotating the text, and that's fine, however it doesn't display correctly on the product mockup on the product page, so it wouldn't instil confidence in the buyer. Just wanted to suggest that Zazzle please Add Door Knobs.  I just had a customer ask if there was a way to get a design I have on a cabinet knob on a white door knob.  This would be a great way to incorporate the design or theme on a matching product for room decor.   If there were color options such as black, white, natural oak, or brown, or something like that so a customer could pick the color along with the design.  It doesn't have to have a lock mechanism, just a plain door knob. Hi there Zazzle team! Can we get an outline also called a stroke or border for the text option in the design editor? There is one for elements but it would also be helpful for text. For now I sometimes add a second layer, a copy,  of text slightly moved one pixel to the right and down to create a shadow effect. It is very helpful when you want bright text on a bright background. We desperately need more gardening options on zazzle!  Plant tags for one thing, from the tiny white plastic ones to larger more fancy ones, please!!  We also need seed envelopes.  The envelopes meant for stationary here are just too big and not quite the right size.  Something smaller than 4x6 and preferably vertical orientation instead of the more popular horizontal used for stationary.  (Every serious heirloom gardener saves our own seeds!)  Some extra ideas: kneeling pads, egg cartons, and small pots and trays for the greenhouse.  Also plant tools would be so amazing if possible, the small hand shovel, rake, and snips, and dabber.  Harvest baskets/crates/bowls would also be a super hot seller! ... Yesterday a customer contacted me to alter a current product's design. After a back and forth conversation with them it was apparent they wanted me to totally change the design completely. When this happens I usually recommend the customers to Zazzle Live. The reasoning behind the recommendation is the meager earnings I would receive would not be worth my time. I have very rarely sent customers to Zazzle Live in the past. Because Creator's receive no compensation for sending potential customers to Zazzle Live I'm sure many Creators don't bother. However, I want the customer to have the best experience with Zazzle in hopes they come back some day for more purchases. It would be nice if the favor was reciprocal. We do our best to bring customers to Zazzle every day. Sometimes we are lucky enough they purchase something and we receive a referral. Wouldn't it be nice if we got a 5% commission when a customer we send to Zazzle Live purchases something they otherwise would not have? I'm sure Creator's who don't do personalized work for Zazzle customers would direct them to Zazzle Live if they knew there was a chance they'd be compensated for creating another happy Zazzle customer.
