Trouble Uploading Cover Photos

I've been having some trouble uploading covers this evening. I click on the upload link, and the process seems to work normally, but when I'm done no cover appears and the link doesn't change to say remove cover, it just acts like I never uploaded one. I'm guessing maybe the system is overloaded or performing maintenance or something? Anyhow, I'm calling it quits for the night and hopefully it will have corrected itself by morning. Just wanted to report it in case something else was going on.

We're still working out a few details here, but this issue (trouble uploading cover photos) should be fixed. I'll be locking this discussion so that it doesn't become a general "...and this other thing is also wrong" which can be extremely difficult for the team to follow. If you're still seeing some issues then please check the Tech forum to see if someone has mentioned the issue, and if not then feel free to start a new discussion.

I would also like to remind everyone that it's important that we stay on topic. There were some posts here that seem to veer in another direction that isn't related to this topic at all. In the future if you find a topic that you'd like to expand up on then it might be best to do that in another discussion. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for asking. Even a ballpark ETA would be nice. 

Definitely.  I'm not seeing anything, though.  I wish there was a response.

Edited to say - I just saw that Scott said engineering is aware of it.  So, hopefully, it will be fixed soon.

I still have PRODUCT IMAGE NOT AVAILABLE in MP, too.  [Extremely very sad face]

Same for me! I wasn't even going to do any and the minute I decide to do some it's broken LOL! I wish they'd at least give us an estimated fix time or that they are working on it.

yep... still happening.  I thought it was just me. Good thing I came and checked here (although I feel bad others are experiencing the same frustration)

I think fact that on the half dozen I uploaded a cover photo to 24 hours ago still says "upload cover photo" instead of "remove cover photo," indicates it's got a glitch. When it's working normally, the "remove cover photo" option is immediately available.

Because I'd uploaded cover photos for only 5 products on Saturday, and when I saw no images were available yesterday, I edited each of the 5 products, reverting them to Zazzle's images. I thought it hadn't worked, but I just checked now, and they're all showing the Zazzle image. The blank box is still there for the cover image, but I can at least breathe a little easier that the blanks aren't showing by default.

Same for me, I had only done a few and went back and chose a zazzle image and it changed to that I see. Like you, the blank white box is in the display choices but I was able to use a zazzle product image.

Yes - a workaround for now, if not great.  In the back end - choose EDIT, then product merchandising, and then a Z created image.  It might not be your favorite view of the item, but at least it's visible. That shows in the MP as a "cover"....tho' the PRODUCT IMAGE NOT AVAILABLE is still in the mix as well.

Thank you! I went ahead and changed all of mine just so I wouldn't have to look at those dreadful product image unavailable spots! My OCD was really kicking in lol.

Will you (or someone) be kind enough to let us know as soon as you have this fixed, please. It's like a tease.... tell us about this great new feature and just when I get started designing cover photos the feature is a no go. Hats of to all of you who had the time to get a jump on this while it was working and kudos to your beautiful cover photos created thus far.

I also would like to know as soon as the cover photo issue is fixed. I was having so much fun uploading them until it broke. Looking forward to continuing once everything is working again.

Hi @Scott just in case your IT folks don't understand our frustration, this is how my store (https://www.zazzle.com/store/t4studio/products) looks when customers go to it. Bearing in mind that it was Zazzle that wanted us to upload cover images. Many of us will have spent lot's of hours fulfilling Zazzles' request. I fully appreciate IT department don't do it on purpose, but that doesn't really help the frustration this end.

The first page under the "Products" tab has 23 "image not available spaces. It really doesn't look very professional or competent for us or Zazzle.

Fingers crossed it's all sorted soon.

I also hope management is aware of how bad this appears to customers, e.g. unprofessional and disorganized. As a designer, I'm also embarrassed to have so many designs I worked hard to promote now appear as "Image Not Available."  

Hi Scott.  I just noticed my cover photos seem to be working again, at least on the three I uploaded over the weekend.  I haven't attempted anymore new ones today.  I'm hopeful this has been fixed!  Thank you for your help.

I've been able to successfully load and display new cover images as of the past hour (4-5pm EST).

I've been getting the "product image not available" error for at least 3 days too. It shows that image but still says "upload cover photo" instead of the option to remove it. I'm just not uploading cover photos for now and for the ones that had the error I just duplicated them and uploaded them again without the cover until this is fixed.

yeyyyy it works! 😍 just checked on them and they seem to look ok now, Also, one of them was still blank so I re-uploaded it and it looks ok now.

Removing cover is not working for me either. But the rest of my uploaded covers are working except for one, still showing a blank on product page.

We made an update, but we don't expect everything to be fixed all at once. It may take a few hours for all images to appear properly.

The market place is showing product photos instead of a blank gray square for my products, but had skipped over my cover photos. Do I need to delete them and then reload them or does this process need more time.

Still not working for me. I still get a blank white space and it still says upload cover photo. I did wait awhile and tried it again and still can not upload a new image and I still have blank white space. I guess I'll give it overnight and try again tomorrow,

We're still running some processes in the background, and we're about to start our normal website updates. There may be some weirdness for another little while. I wouldn't worry about this until tomorrow morning.
