Since Zazzle implemented the new design tool and started automatically locking layers, I've been getting chat messages from confused customers who are unable to move design elements. I totally understand the reason behind locking the layers - and for most customers that's what you want. But there are always those who want to get in there and completely redesign the template, and locking the layers makes it really difficult for them to do so. Perhaps when a locked object is clicked on you could show a popup that says "to edit this element you must unlock it from the layers stack" or something like that.

Please show non-angled views of the specialty mugs, such as the espresso mugs, bone-china mugs, and jumbo mugs. It is very difficult to center a design element on the front or back of these mugs without this view. Thank you!

Hi. If possible, please consider having an insitu photo displaying multiple products so that the designer may display products in a collection in use together. For example, the picture below shows the wallpaper I designed. If there were a way to display the matching pillow, blanket, etc all in one photo it would be a great help for the customer to view the coordinating products. I think this would be a good idea for t-shirts and other products as well.

Can Zazzle provide a solution for those of us wanting to make double-sided mugs? The current process is smooth if you are doing a single design on the front of the mug - you just centre align the design. However, if you want to have a double-sided design there is a lot of guesswork and confusion involved. And no real way of checking your design placement, except through the previews which may not be accurate. The Printful mug design tool is amazing, you upload the design once and click the box to duplicate the design on both sides of the mug. I often find myself looking for fonts with characters that fit one of these two descriptions: Narrow eg. Karatina, Bronx Shoes, Empire Wide eg. Cavalero, Monoton, Sigmar One Typically I might have a graphic of certain dimensions, some text in mind to accompany the image, and the space I have left dictates the proportion of font I will choose. It would be handy to be able to filter them in the editor, perhaps with a slider that moves from Narrow > Balanced > Wide. Thanks! 🙂

The new frames feature is really confusing when you just want to use a basic shape like a circle or a square. Those options are available when you first click on the shapes tab: To me, it isn't clear that you can actually click on one of those from this menu - I thought they were just examples, so I naturally clicked on "view all" to, you know, view ALL of the available options. BUT once you click on "view all" there's no way to access these basic shapes, the only way to get them back is to click the back arrow at the top to go back to the main frames menu. I find this really confusing! There should be a "basic shapes" section at the top of "view all" that has squares, rectangles, circles, ovals etc.

Is it possible to add a feature to Zazzle where designers could group the same product with the same design rendered in different sizes in one listing for ease of customer selection? Not all designs fit all the different product size variations (like, for example, doormats and post-it notes). And I frequently see purchases where a customer has chosen a different product size, and the resulting design doesn’t fit the product. I don’t know if the customer fixes the design to fit the particular product size themself, if they get help from Zazzle customer service, or if they purchase an ill-fitting design (they aren’t being returned and the orders are not being canceled). Instead of creating the same listing in 4-5 different sizes, designers need additional artboards in the design tool where they can resize the design to fit any size the customer chooses for that particular product. This would result in more sales for designers, Zazzle, and potentially fewer returns and cancelled orders. Thanks!

Maybe I'm in a minority, but I feel like there has been a massive uptick in the number of customers messaging me to help with their open orders. It would be great if there was more clarification to customers when they message on who to contact for which issues. Below are just some of the things I've gotten lately. At least half (if not more) of the message I get are for things I cannot help with as a designer. "I ordered invitations earlier today, but I forgot to put the time! Could you please add that the bridal shower is at 11:00 am?" "What is going on with my order? Order ID----------" (by the way, I don't think this was even one of my orders as it does not match any of my order numbers) "My name is Mary ------" (yep that's all it said, and she never responded) "Hi I just placed an order with you and realized that the wording on one of my signs is wrong would I be able to send you the updated one?" "Hi there, in my invitations could make the girl's hair black?" (this was on an already placed order) "When I go to preview the invite there is a weird IM over the text. I already purchased it and I’m worried the invites will be ruined. Can you please help?" "I ordered a sign a couple of weeks ago and still haven’t received it." "so I placed an order originally for 40 baby shower invitations, but wound up editing them and getting an order of 25. Would I be able to get reimbursed for the 40 previously ordered?"

I know this has been requested before, but here it is again: Please, I'm begging Zazzle, pretty please add 12x12 in scrapbook papers to the site! Standard scrapbook albums are made for the 12x12" papers, and that's what people use. Also, if Zazzle sold those albums, designers could have another object for creations (more $$!). Another possibility is to add 12x12" papers to the digital downloads, and let us create in that size, and let the customer download the papers; Etsy does this. Is this doable?

With the new Ambassador program, many of us are scrambling to adjust our approach and make ends meet. I was thinking that one way to lessen the blow a bit would be to provide a system where customers could leave a tip or payment that would go directly to the designer - it could be used as a way to collect compensation for custom design work, or it could simply be a way for a customer to leave a tip as a thank you for a designer. It would be great if the Home & Living cross-sell collections would be formatted like the Event and Business Cross-sell collections. It's super helpful to be able to see other variations of the same product directly underneath a product. Especially for pillows, where we might have several coordinating pillows in a collection that people would potentially want to buy together. I realize that it would be impossible to make "grouped" products for every conceivable subcategory under Home & Living, but the major things like pillows, mugs, bedding, and bathroom could have their groups. Even better would be to let us choose 5-10 custom groupings for each collection.

This post is for Ideas & Suggestion Board but I can't post is there at the moment because that it's not available at the moment (not the first time though). 1. Would be extremely helpful to sort products by 'Cancellation Date' or 'Number of Cancellations'.. basically any type of cancellations really, to see if there's a pattern on certain products or just a coincidence. If I see there are a few cancellations on a certain product, I'll definitely check out again my design. For example, I recently had a justified cancellation on a poster because the text is not aligned correctly, but under no circumstance can I remember which poster needs attention so that I can re-post it correctly and if I were to see my latest order cancelled, that would help a lot. 2. If it's possible, make the 'Make hidden' option that we have available for any product, the last option in that list or at least not anywhere near the 'Manage Media'. Many times and clicking fast, instead of Managing Media for a product I made it hidden, then made it public, then managed the media for it.

Many Online Vendors have a ‘Guest Checkout’ making it much easier with fewer steps to purchase. In order to purchase from Zazzle you must create an Account. Could this be a small deterrent for Customers wanting to purchase right Here right Now!? (I have always used a Guest Checkout whenever available). Is this a security issue with Zazzle or other reasons?
